David grew up in London where, as a young artist, he was a founding member and keyboardist with progressive rockers Rare Bird, whose hit single, "Sympathy" was an international smash. RB recorded 5 albums and toured extensively throughout the UK and the Continent.

Among David's most lasting contributions to music was his keyboard work on Chuck Berry's 'London Sessions,' which was pressed into a solid gold disc and launched into outer space aboard the fabled Voyger Space Probe in 1973.

David also hit the big time in the 1980's, landing the role of Viv Savage, the nutty keyboard player in the classic rockumentary, "Spinal Tap".

It goes without saying (but we'll say it anyway) that David's keyboard skills are nothing short of stellar. Many bands and many shows later, David has lent his skills, his sense of humor and his sensational showmansip to The Linda Imperial Band....and folks are we lucky!
